1. Delete your account in the app
The fastest way to delete your account and data:
- Open the FreshOn app and sign in.
- Go to Profile → Account → Delete Account.
- Confirm the request. We'll ask you to verify via OTP for security.
Once confirmed, your account is deactivated immediately and your personal data is scheduled for deletion as described below.
2. Delete by request (no app needed)
You can also request deletion without the app. Email privacy@freshon.in from your registered email, or with your registered mobile number, using the subject line “Delete my account”. We will verify your identity (typically via an OTP to your registered mobile number) before processing, to protect your account from unauthorised deletion.
3. What we delete
Upon a verified request, we delete or irreversibly de-identify:
- your profile (name, email, mobile number) and login credentials;
- your saved delivery addresses and location data;
- your saved preferences, device identifiers and push-notification tokens;
- your AI assistant conversation history; and
- your reviews, ratings and support messages tied to your identity.
4. What we may retain (and why)
Some records must be kept even after account deletion, to meet legal, accounting, tax and fraud-prevention obligations. We retain only what is required, for the minimum period, and keep it secured and access-restricted:
- Transaction & invoice records — order and GST invoice data is retained for the statutory period (generally up to 8 years) under tax law;
- Payment/refund records — as required by our payment partners and applicable regulations;
- Fraud, safety & legal records — limited data needed to prevent abuse, resolve disputes, or comply with a legal obligation.
Where data must be retained, it is dissociated from your active profile to the extent feasible and used only for the stated legal purpose.
5. Wallet balance & pending orders
Before deletion, please use or request a refund of any FreshOn Wallet balance, and ensure you have no orders in progress. We may delay deletion until active orders are completed or refunds are settled. Promotional or bonus credits are non-refundable and are forfeited on deletion.
6. How long it takes
We action verified deletion requests within 30 days. Backup copies are purged on our routine backup-rotation cycle shortly thereafter. Data we are legally required to retain (Section 4) is deleted at the end of its mandated retention period.
7. Effect of deletion
Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. You will lose access to your order history, wallet, saved addresses, and any rewards or membership benefits. To use FreshOn again afterwards, you'll need to create a new account.
